I accidentally left my C compiler (CCS PCM compiler) set for a PIC16C76 and used the HEX file it produced to program a PIC16C72A to go in a system on a customers site. Not realising what I had done I just did a quick test only and the system appeared to fire up okay so I assumed all would be okay. My question is should I be worried that my error may cause bugs or errors or can I take it that if it worked at all then all functions will work correctly? Should I admit to the customer and my boss that I made an error or should I just pretend I didn't notice? Brian Gregory. briang@cix.co.uk
