I noticed an article that mentioned a free comms program for monitoring
output from PIC projects.

As a point of interest (I am not aware of all available tools for PIC),
would anyone be interested in a custom written comms package specifically
for communicating with micro projects. Both send and receive functions, with
various display formats (hex, binary,dec). save options, and a mode that
allows you to get your PIC to download all contents via serial port and the
comms package will show you the internal map with all register references.
Along with this I could supply a convertor in a DB9 plug for RS232 -> TTL to
allow probing of serial data at TTL level on project.

Another possible project is a radio transciever link with imbedded PIC.

If anyone is interested please let me know and if interest is high enough, I
will look at this more seriously
