Yes, actually only 1 line needs to be unique.  Working from memory, that is the
LCD's pin "E"

 Subject: Using Multiple LCD display








Hi,
I need to use 6 LCD(16x2) alphanumeric displays with 16c74.  Can I use
common data lines and individual control lines.  Any suggestion??????  I
want to stick to 4 bit interface.
