Jim, I appreciate your frustration, but rest assured that the list admins are doing everything they can to remind people to use plain text and work with them to make the adjustment. Michael is forced to use an old copy of Outlook '97 by his boss. He can't install "outside" software on his work machine. He can monitor and post to the PICList from work (I hope most Bosses understand what a valuable resource the list is) but the program doesn't seem to want to respect his Plain Text setting. He and I have tried to work it out. The options are: get posts from him in HTML or not get posts from him... the list members need to vote on which is better. Please don't post your suggestions or preferences to the list. See the next item. Finally, Please refrain from complaining to the PICList about PICList members. Either email them directly, or email the list admins at PICList-Request@MITVMA.MIT.EDU mailto:PICList-Request@MITVMA.MIT.EDU or directly to me at jamesnewton@piclist.com mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com Thanks for caring about the PICList --- James Newton (PICList Admin #3) mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com or .org -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Jim Ham Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2000 08:35 To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: Re: 16-bit arithmetic in C Please turn off the switch that makes HTML code when posting to the Piclist. Especially when you include code to try. While blue text is nice, it's really a hassle to cut out the HTML stuff when your recipient want to try your code. It also expands the size of your message by at least a factor of 2. Regards, Jim Ham At 11:15 AM 3/22/2000 -0000, you wrote: > How embarrasing.
