Actually, I found out last week that you can set the programming range on the
picstart plus.  It is much faster ( 15 seconds as opposed to 2 minutes (ie, too
short to do anything useful, too long to sit still))

But I can still watch it count.  It takes more time to program the PIC than it
needs to.  Perhaps the ICD only changes those locations that have changed since
last time.
