Anyway, you most probably will want to add Steve Hardy's simultaneous two-byte
reversing algorithm that someone else posted just the other day. It takes only
16 cycles. And John Payson needs an honorable mention in there as well.

This is the only reference I could find to Steve Hardy's algorithm.
