Welcome to the list! There are MANY very intelligent people here. The user/pw
for the PICLIST archives is: piclist  for both user and password. As for
programming...I'm not sure QB experience will help you here, however, I have
a  tutorial at my site:

That should get you going. Many beginners start out with the 16F84, although
it's up to you!
