    What *exactly* are people using Stamps to do? I can see their benefit for
    educational/extreme rapid development scenarios but not for much else.

There's a whole mailing list and assorted web sites dedicated to the
STAMP(s) - ask there (in particular, look for the "LOSA - List Of Stamp
Applications" site...)

IMO, the Stamp is useful in any application where the interpretter speed is
not a problem, and the cost difference between a ~$10 chipset (stamp) and a
$3 chipset is not important.  That covers an awful lot of territory (and in
particular, nearly anything where development costs are expected to be far
greater than production costs.)
