First, I prepared the board by scrubing it with a scotch | brite pad ( I wanted to use superfine steel wool but had none) and the | cleaned it with acetone. I used xerox paper color inkjet photo quality matte | paper (coated both sides) this paper was obtained at Staples for $11 for 75 | sheets. Secondly I used a standard HP Laser printer with the regular toner | nothing special. The ironing is the part where you take your time. I used | the flat of the iron for a few minutes ( the iron is the hottest it can go). | Then I used the edge of the iron and go over the board a few times just in | case the iron or board are not flat. Also use pressure on the iron. Then I | ran the board and paper under water and peeled away most of the paper and | rubbed of the rest with my finger. It left me with perfect lines. . I did do | a test board to play around with it at first; but you can rub off the art | work with acctone and start again if it is not what you want. If you still | need more details fell free to ask. | | Steven | ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Randy Glenn" | To: | Sent: Monday, March 13, 2000 11:12 AM | Subject: Re: [OT] need PCB boards and developer [OT] | | | | Yes! Yes... you have to iron very completely. Any way I | | have great results with .040 trackwidth and .020 spacing. All in all it | cost | | me around $20 to produce a 5x5 double sided board. If you need details | just | | let me know. | | | | Steven | | ----- Original Message ----- | | From: "Andrew T Kelley" | | To: | | Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2000 1:31 PM | | Subject: Re: [OT] need PCB boards and developer [OT] | | | | | | | On Sat, 11 Mar 2000 18:16:21 -0000 Alan Pearce | | | writes: | | | > >Try http://www.digikey.com and they have 'toner transfer system' | | | > paper.
