Think in terms of about 30 meters or so, on average, can be worse.
They are useless indoors.
I use mine for a ham radio application called APRS  (www.aprs.net) , as
well as for business travel. A moment to translate the address to GPS
coords, then just drive.
My normal mode is a 600-ish mile drive, and it brings me usually into the
parking lot.
