I know that a chinese factory last year interchanged the power pins, 1 and 2 on the header on 'alot' of its production. They have been dumped on the second-hand market. Branco deals in second hand stuff so explore this possibility. The cost of reputable, guaranteed factory production of 2x16, backlit LCDs is $US4. (Truly Brand, min 100.) Anything less than this is distressed, second-hand stock - surplus. You are on your own, basically. regards, Peter Crowcroft DIY Electronics (HK) Ltd PO Box 88458, Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong Voice: 852-2720 0255 Fax: 852-2725 0610 Email: peter@kitsrus.com Web: http://kitsrus.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------
