I did the following: - copy demo.sch and demo.lbr to a new directory - loaded demo.sch as a schematic - choose File->SwitchToBoard in the schematic editor and allowed it to create a new board - in the board editor move all the components from the left side of the screen to the right and onto the board - choose File->Save in the board editor and allowed it to save as demo.brd - close the board editor - copy the 1layer.ctl file into the new directory as demo.ctl - choose File->SwitchToBoard in the schematic editor - choose Tools->Auto in the board editor - in the Layer group box change the first field that follow "16 Bottom" to read "0", this will prevent the autorouter from using the bottom layer. - click start Don't expect the auto-router to successfully route demo.brd, but notice that it now only routes on a single layer Peter ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marion D.
