I'm almost afraid to ask this [given the recent thread about using a series R1 in the MCLR line], but what are sentiments about using a series R between the xtal and OSC2 for hi-speed operation? Some people swear by them (eg, SimmStick), but my new Scenix SX28-52 eval board, operating with whopper 50Mhz xtal, doesn't use one. I figure [possibly wrongly] that higher speed xtals are built to handle higher oscillator currents. Can anyone point me at info that specifically deals with this issue? - Dan Michaels Oricom Technologies http://www.sni.net/~oricom ==========================
