We're all familiar with the Varta 3/V60R battery, I'd bet (The Ni-Cad battery on many older, desktop and laptop motherboards. Varta makes a 4/V60R battery that's 4.8V, 60mAh, same form factor; I hadn't seen one before being asked to find one recently. Computer stores have this (cloned, not necessarily Varta's) as the Comp-17-2 battery ($7ish) so can get the Ni-Cad version locally at least. There's also a 100mAh version amongst the "computer memory backup packs" at your local electronics store, or buy them mail-order from some mail order place or another, I'd bet. Does anyone know how these cells are held together? (I haven't torn the cordless mouse this pack's in yet. Will get to that later today. Possibly just the heat shrink, maybe welded or conductive epoxy though?) And, does anyone know where to find this little beastie in NiMH? That'd be pretty nice And where to find them mail-order, or just the button cells alone, I'll be looking. Have had hardware problems here (this machine has a problem.) May have to "fix by replacement"... Mark -- I re-ship for small US & overseas businesses, world-wide. (For private individuals at cost; ask.)
