I have a client that needs an AT style keyboard
interface for a custom input panel that he wants to plug into a AT
motherboard. It seems that all the off-the-shelf single chip controllers
like the 80C42's, 80C49's and 83C51KB's have all dried up. I've torn apart
every keyboard here in the office, but no one is interested is selling me the
chips. Is this a wheel that needs to be reinvented? Has anyone done
this before using a PIC? I need to scan 53 keys?
Best Regards,
Steve Landry
