Has anyone tried to build a PIC based MP3 player?
I had a quick look at whether it would be possible and
it looks as if it is, you can buy dedicated MP3
decoder chips, all you need to do is pipe the data
into a decoder and D>A the output.

Simple, if you know how, all you need is to be able to
store and retrieve the data on a HDD or similar (maybe
someone has some ATA to PIC interface?).

Good Luck to anyone who wants to try it, I would be
interested in the results if anyone tries it.
