My PICSTART with 2.01 firmare supports the 17C766.

Someone here at Cornell asked me how to program a 17C766. Are these
compatible with the PICSTART Plus? I would think so (with the
appropriate
surface-mount adaptor) but he says that he has tried that and is having
trouble. The mchip website isn't all that helpful.

Also, does the 17C766 support ICSP? I didn't think so, but the mchip web
page says that their ICSP adaptor for the promate II will work with all
PICmicro devices?!
