John, I agree with Quentin, as long as you stick with the more well known names, you will probably never see a problem. I've used Airtronics, Futaba, Cirrus, Hitec, and FMA with never a problem. The only place you may run into trouble is with old used servos. Most gurus I've heard of recommend a maximum of 100 hours of use for servos (but I have some standard size Airtronics servos with over 300 hours that are still working).
