Hello Harold, Friday, Friday, January 21, 2000, you wrote: HMH> Any idea why the problem would show up in Netscape Navigator but not HMH> Internet Explorer? This reminds me of a recent problem where I visited my HMH> aunt's web site on AOL. Netscape crashed as the page was loaded. HMH> Harold Umm, I'm not that sure, if it is "tricky" to crash a browser :) There are many bugs, discovered for all new versions of both IE and NN, sorry that I haven't got my bookmarks page at hand, to drop you some urls ... I remember something that "works" with older versions (ie3, nn2, opera2 I think): try to load a gif, or link to a page with name com1/com2/aux/$clock -- these are device driver names, inherited from TADD (The Auld DOS Days :). when the browser tries to load, say , "com1.gif", it actually reads garbage from the com port, and ususally crashes.
