Are you aware of the folding keyboards now available for PDAs?
They fold up smaller that the PalmPilot, but unfold to be laptop-sized
full QWERTY keyboard.  Maybe too pricey?  But.. all done, and
available.

Food for thought at least.

And if you want tiny tac. switches check the NKK and Panasonic
lines.  Even DigiKey has a range of the Panasonic ones.
