Hello all. Due to my recent problems with my e-mail program, I am now motivated to write my own E-Mail program using Visual Basic. Not wanting all of that effort to go unreimbursed, I want to sell it to others. For this reason, I ask you now what features you need and want in an e-mail client. I figure that many of you out there use e-mail enough to know exactly what you want. Some of the features I have though of so far: -Mail stored in Access database for easy integration with Office products. -Ability to define message encoding on a per-contact or per-group basis (eg. all mailing lists are plain text, but my buddy is HTML mail) -Mail received on one account is sent back out with a return address and SMTP server defined for that account -so if I get mail on my Bigfoot account, it gets sent out over bigfoot with my bigfoot address, if I want - not my ISP address / server -Support for multiple users -Ability to receive Hotmail, Yahoo! mail (maybe) -E-mail checking applet (low memory usage) running in system tray to alert you of new mail (so you don't have to have the whole program running to get mail) -A full-featured, ad-bearing version for those who want all the features, but are too cheap to pay. Any other ideas? -Randy http://i.am/PICxpert - PICxpert@techie.com ICQ Nickname: PICxpert - Fax: (208) 330-3630
