Didn't want to cram too much into one question, so, here's the other half:

I don't want to waste memory, so I would like to re-org or pad for landing
routines on xx00 memory locations.

I used to do this in 6809 with something like:
    rmb   $-($^ff00h+0100h)

Anybody done some cool stuff like that?
