Hi
We use the TSOP (SSOP) varieties of the 16C54 and 16C57, and the PLCC
version of the 16C74, and will be moving to the smaller SMT varieties
soon--along with on-board programming.

The ability to program PIC's after assembly onto the target PCB would be
really useful!
