I don't know about the card, but you should be able to set up X by either running Xconfigurator or xf86config. At the very least, you should be able to get X running with either the VGA or SVGA servers. You won't have any acceration though. Being as you have a linux installation now, try out the command 'wget'. It can be used to grab entire websites.
