Listen, the Scenix SX is so close to a PIC that the differences are only worth mentioning when you want to want to make use of them. They can be programmed in the same programmers, run code from the same assembler, replace the 18 or 28 pin PICs pin for pin, etc... etc... etc... The SXKey from http://www.parallax-inc.com is a "wonder of magic" for the ICE capability it provides with the production chips and at $150 its probably worth it, but if you like your MPLAB you can use it. Having said that, I use the SXKey, not MPLAB and am basing what I have said on third hand accounts. I stand by to be corrected or to be flamed by people who are threatened by clones.
