Hello John, Just connect the Clock-in pin (Pin 16) to ground (with or without a low-value resistor). This will prohibit any generation of clock-pulses ... The real problem is the Rise-time of your Reset-signal (at Pin #4). It's too slow. Regards, Rudy Wieser
