All, I have MPLAB v4.12.12 installed on my 333 Mhz PC woth 256 Meg Ram, and have had NO problems either with the installation or with the running and use of the program. Either you were misinformed, or whomever told you that was an isolated incident, or I was just lucky. Either way, I have been using Microchip products and software for years without any major problems. And when I did have a problem, an email to the FAE or FSE usually brought satisfaction. If they didn't know the answer at that particular moment, they found the answer and got back to me with a day or two. I am really surprised at all the negative remarks with Microchip software. I mean afterall it's virtually free. Where else can you get a deal like this on professionally written software, and the cost being basically the cost of a phone call. What else do you expect for nothing? Anyway, that's my two cents worth.
