I use this IC in one of my kits (Kit 75, which is reviewed in the current
issue of Electronics Australia along with PICnPoke.)

My main buyer has just been told that the 16V71 will be discontinued next
year. I can find no mention of this (or any other discontinued possible uC)
on microchip website.

Does anyone know anything?
