The sda and scl pins do have pull-ups on them
I thought week pull-ups only worked if pins where configured as inputs?

There is a 24c01 eeprom on same bus line and my code is working for that ok
but is having problem on another chip on same bus,the only thing I can think
of is that the
oscilloscope is providing week pull down to sda pin???
