Unless I am missing something, once you have cleared the CCP bit, you cannot read or write any new code... so, you cannot look at the program OR introduce any code to send the code out via a port. If I wanted to HACK a PIC, I wouldn't know where to start if they blocked me with that. If they did NOT, then there are several ways. I ALWAYS put my code in the PIC, the only thing I use external ROM, EPROM, EEPROM, etc for is data storage (non-v ram) or custom/config data that you would set the device configuration. Set it in E2PROM, and read it on power-up into PIC file space. NEVER leave your code hanging out if you are worried about hackers! If anybody knows a backdoor to read the rom (aside from a damn good microscope, let me know! Not that I want to hack somebody elses code, but, I wanna CYOA on it.
