Could our American friends confirm that the electricity supply meters (domestic)as stated by Bob McClure measure true power (KW) in the UK our meters only measure KVA. As to the devices, I have recently seen them advertised for use on domestic fridges. These devices are fitted in a replacement mains connector, 13amp plug in UK.
