Sure, Aaron, I do this all the time. Most autorouters will always try to make a double sided board. I finally stopped fighting and just go ahead and let the autorouter put traces on both sides. Then, I attack the autorouted board. I place all the traces possible on the solder side, re-route a few of them to make it possible, but then finally I am stuck with a few traces on the component side that I just can't route.
