For some reason, I have better results when I use the positive process. Maybe your printer is better at printing large areas of "dark" than mine (HP 1600C). For getting a negative image (and a positive image image, either by starting with a negative or by doing the process twice), i have found that Datak Pos-Neg film works really well.
