Hi all, Does anyone have any info on the thermal conductivity of PCB material? Roughly, does it conduct heat well or insulate it? I realize that it varies greatly depending upon the material. Specifically, I am talking about FR4 and possibly also phenolic materials (like cheapo perfboard and protoboard is made of). My guess is that it is NOT a good conductor of heat (I seem to remember somewhere that one of the materials commonly used for PCBs is similar to the ablative heat sheild material used in the early US space program?).
