Some of the best stuff is free.  It is scattered all over, though!

Linear Technology has a wealth of information, all high quality.  Their apps
engrs are great too.
Some data in National Simple Switcher section.
I use apps notes in the Coilcraft databook all of the time, they have more for
the asking.  Their stuff is especially good for figuring wire gauge and bobbin
fit, but you really ought tojust have someone make the xformer for you.
