Why are you afraid to say that? GWBASIC or QBASIC or even Compiled Basic
still in operation, and it was where almost everyone started PC
programming in one way or another.  Several very good programmers I know
still using it to develop other languages structures. You should be
proud to use it.  Remember that several people don't even know it exist,
and how easy it is to program... ;)

Explain better (to my email) your data composition and probably I can
help you in some way.
