Hello all, I know this is a question threaded previously, but as there are new C compilers for C on the market, I want to know the opinion of actual users of low/mid cost (bellow US$150.00) C compilers for PIC. The options seens to be: PCM by CCS latest version: ? www.ccsinfo.com Seens to be the more widely used price: US$99 + shipping (US$29 to ship to Brazil) C2C by PAVEL BARANOV latest version: 3.27.3 www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Network/3656/c2c/c.html Supports PIC and SCENIX price: US$45 (additional US$15 for integration with MPLAB) CC5X by B.KNUDSEN DATA www.bknd.com latest version: 3.0D price: Free version supports 1KWORD of program data US$90 (web purchase and delivering) version supports 2KWORD of program data PICC by FED www.fored.co.uk latest version: 1.065 have integrated debugger (seens to not integrate with MPLAB) price: US$100 (on CD-ROM) I'm using CC5XFREE and liked it (for a free version, it's very usefull), but my codes are already close to 1KWORD and I need to upgrade, but I don't think that US$90.00 for a compiler that only does 1KWORD is a fair price. So I'll probably byt CCS or C2C (I need integration with MPLAB), but wants to make the right decision without having to buy another compiler later.
