Tony Now I can return the favor. A company called Linx Technologies: www.linxtechnologies.com has a transmitter that operates just above 900MHz. it has eight chanels that can be controlled by a PIC. It takes in data serially and can handle up to 50kps data rates. The only external part required is an antenna. There is both a transmitter and a receiver. They cost about $28 dollars each.
