I'm having a very strange problem when programming a
PIC14000. I have MPlab Ver 4.12.12 and a PICSTART Plus
version 2.01.00 running on NT4.0 SP3.  I'm using an eprom
version of the 14000 and when I program the chip even though
it verifies correctly, the chip will operate correctly about
every other time it is programmed.  I've tried another 14000
and the same thing happens.  When  the chip doesn't work it
sometimes is dead in the water when it powers up, but sometimes
the program will partially run.  Then when I erase and reprogram
with no changes to the code it will run perfectly.  Has anyone
experienced this type of problem or have any ideas on what is happening?

I'm about to start using some OTP chips but am leery of the same thing
happening and I can't afford to lose half of my chips to this problem
