I would recommend one or two books: Easy Pic'n, Pic up the Pace, both by David Benson. These are excellent books for the 16F84 even if you have experience with other processors or uP languages. If you just want to know about the 16F84 instruction, the data sheet actually has an example of how each instruction will affect data.
