The other thing is that there are probably a number of people on the list who'll program a 17C43 for you, ship them the chip & a return package and optionally some "beer money" if you want to, and they'll zap the chip when they get to it & mail it back to you. I've done that a few times, gets people unstuck (and have had to borrow someone else's help in the same way, myself, in the past.
