Thanks for the advice/help. I got the I2C EEPROM on the PIC12CE674 working at 32.768kHz. Circuit works beautifully at 50uA current draw. Just had to put a little pressure on Microchip to get the EEPROM code corrected (it is not documented in the databook nor on their site). While the FAE was at my desk, my Manager came by and said out loud, "So Jason, are we still using Microchip?" The FAE said, "I sure hope so!"
