(Set the Reply-to to myself, PLEASE reply off-list.) I need to set up an electroplating system, hopefully someplace around here, to plate small objects (Mostly Gold plating onto Silver, for someone who wants same.) Need more expertise. My thought's to PWM from 5V down to the 1.2V (or whatever it is!), it's been YEARS (literally!) since I did electroplating. I can handle the PIC programming ('F84, or 'C84, I think), may ask for more help in doing current detection later, just need some off-list help for how to do this. IIRC you can basically set up the right electrolyte, and just turn the voltage up until you get some current - and that's about the right voltage to set it at. Sounds JUST right for a PIC project to me, one chip handles plating anything with anything else basically And the PIC will know to turn things off after some time delay (Shift registered in from a couple BCD switches, I think.) Should be a good 'F84 project... Mark
