A few people sent me info on several LCD displays that I could use.
They do seem to suit my needs at some point, but, I still would have to
build a system around them. That's the part I want to avoid. I have no
experience working with LCDs (negative pwr suplly and so on) and I don't
want to lose much time fiddling with the hardware I don't understand. That's
why
I was looking for a kit. I know they exist, I just don't know where.

Sometime in the future I might use these displays, but for now, I just can't
do it.
