Dearest PICsters, I've got a product (with a PIC) that uses mecury tilt switches. I am told that several states have implemented regulations that require mounds of paperwork if you sell any product with mercury in it. They require you to track all purchases and recycle the product at the end of it's life. Quite impossible for a $20 steam iron. ( what, do we go to all the garage sales in the state looking for our irons? ) OK, we shoulda been so responsible years ago and not put mercury in our products in the first place. We might have saved a whale or two, or at least prevented some mercury from leaching out of a landfill. So we are looking for a nonmercury tilt switch. I've seen one from Mouser (part number 102-1002), but no mention of a manufacturer. I'm trying to get back to the origninal mfr to get away from distributor pricing. Anybody got any clues? -- Lawrence
