>... and you took whole 540 seconds to recognize it? >... hey Andy, we could do it much faster, huh? Nah. He just had to look up the manual again to see how to send the next message :-). Lets see. Should I send this? Am I going to regret it? Will I send it anyway? Will .... ? What the heck, here we go. Actually, (as a profligate on and off topic poster) I took the first message as a joke (hey, it wasn't me he was talking about). Congratulations to Bob for having enough guts to apologise for something written in haste. Re "uneducated". It's extremely easy to be quite educated but still have a real blind spot, even in one's own area. I don't think magnetic shielding is as intuitive as some aspects of electromagnetism and the siren call of the perpetual motion machine is very persuasive. The only cure is to have people stuff PICs in your ears and tie you to the mast while they row past the danger area. Lacking such a facility you use the PICList to achieve the same function. If this is the peak level of flaming that we manage amongst ourselves we'll be pretty well served. Its a pretty friendly community we have here by and large.
