Mine is Sellotape brand, sticks like a sticky thing and never lets go, water proof even. (I heard that some double sided tapes are approved for use in aircraft manufacture, don't try this at home) I use white gloss enamel paint, although it is tricky to get good coverage. Undercoat worked well at first, but then I discovered that it discoloured with age and it really soaked up moisture. Long term results? Really good - if you keep it dry. If water is present the film coating slowly draws it in from the edges and spoils the printing. If you want cheap water proof labels use a laser print with the same method. Hamilton is OK, but we don't grow nice oranges here...
