>I think you must have more experience with blood than >me (I don't have kids yet)! Maybe you should ask Andy. If >anyone should know about broken bones, and other gory >kid's wounds, it should be him (statistically speaking). Broken bones? My oldest son broke something once (it was so long ago, I forget) and my oldest daughter just broke her forearm this summer. And I broke my foot (twice, in the same place) as a kid. Gashes and teeth we know about. My one daughter (Kid #3) has had more than her oldest brother - she isn't a klutz, she's a tomboy and doesn't know when she's passed her limits until "OUCH - THAT HURTS!" Knocked out teeth we know. One boy (Kid #5) did a Superman jump out of his high chair (we later resorted to TYING him in - the factory safety belt latch was obviously insufficient) and took out two teeth. A few months later Kid #3 chases him down the hall out into the living room into the OUCH coffee table - gash on forehead (she (#3) went for stitches a few days earlier...) - and of course, my wife and I happen to be taking our walk around the block at the time and the baby sitter wasn't doing his job too well.... A couple days later, #3 carries #5 around (she isn't allowed to do this) and drops him. On the same coffee table. And knocks out another tooth. You know what - we took him to the same dentist that I went to when I knocked my teeth out at a kid. Twice. Kids are expensive. Cold water removes wet blood. Bleach does OK on dry blood, but not perfect. You usually trash whatever it dries on. Hey - that stain on the floor will always be something to talk about!
