The 16C73B is a die shrink (therefore cheaper) and has the BRGH= 1 bug fixed.
Otherwise the chips are the same and the 16C73A will be phased out.

These babies are some months away and I would suggest the 16F876 will
proceed the '873 by some weeks. You may want to get other opinions on this.
My point is that if I am right you could be waiting longer than need be
as the '876 will do the same job albeit at a slightly higher price.
