Another DOS to consider for embedded applications is ROM-DOS from
DataLight.  I've done a few projects with it and it has worked well.  I
put a single EPROM on an ISA board.  The EPROM appeared as a BIOS hook
which then loaded DOS and the application from EPROM up above 8 meg in
the memory map.
